Police responded to calls of screaming in a Pennsylvania suburb and quickly found the reason — a man was lying dead on a plastic sheet outside one of the homes.
According to reporting by WPVI, a Philadelphia-based ABC affiliate, police detectives arrived at the scene just before 7 a.m. on March 19 and found 38-year-old Jordan Baxter, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said that he was found on a plastic sheet between two parked cars in the neighborhood where he lived with his family, a gun resting on his chest. A day later, following an investigation into the man’s death, his wife, 39-year-old Danielle Baxter, was arrested.
Police said that a gun was found on Jordan Baxter’s chest when police arrived, and WPVI reported that he had a gunshot wound to the back of his head. The station also reported that detectives found blood on a mattress inside the home that Jordan and Danielle Baxter shared with their three children.
WPVI reported that Danielle Baxter was arrested on March 20 and charged with murder and other offenses including abuse of a corpse. A motive was not provided by police.
Local news outlet Daily Voice Morrisville reported that days before Danielle Baxter allegedly murdered her husband, she posted on Facebook about possible turbulence in the couple’s marriage. On March 14, she wrote on Facebook, “These females out here be plotting on your marriage and waiting for your downfall so they can come right on in and these men let them.”
Danielle Baxter is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on April 7.
