A major manhunt is currently underway in Melbourne’s north after a man was brutally attacked inside a home, before he was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
Police rushed to the scene in Roxburgh Park after receiving reports of an incident and discovered a man who had been assaulted at the house on Maisie Court.
It is understood the man, in his 40s, suffered serious stab wounds in an attack about 4.40am. He is being treated in hospital in a critical condition with upper body wounds.
The area has since been cordoned off as police investigate.

The attackers reportedly fled the scene in a vehicle following the attack. A detailed description of the suspects or vehicle is yet to be released.
