A South Carolina man was arrested and charged with murdering a woman who went missing in September.

Daniel Peele, whose age was not available, was taken into custody on Dec. 9 and charged with murder, kidnapping, and obstructing justice. The arrest came days after human remains were found on Ruby Road near Hartsville, some 70 miles northeast of Columbia. The remains were identified as Cassidy “Shamra” Felkel, 49, who was last seen in the Hartsville area on Sept. 25 before she disappeared without a trace.
