A 30-year-old man will appear in court today charged with murder and child cruelty over the death of a toddler.
The two-year-old boy was found unconscious and injured at a house on Central Drive in Blackpool shortly after 11am on August 19.
He was taken to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool, where he died two days later.

The child was discovered at an address on Central Drive in Blackpool at the weekend and died in hospital
Daniel Hardcastle, from Blackpool, will appear before Blackpool Magistrates’ Court today.
He appeared at the same court on August 21 charged with Section 18 wounding and was remanded into custody.
But following the child’s death he has now been charged with murder and child cruelty, Lancashire Police said.
