A body has been found in an abandoned car near Mackay Harbour in Queensland.
Officers are currently investigating a Landcruiser which was found in a now-closed off part of East Point Drive at 1:15pm on Saturday.
Inside the car police found a bag with what is believed to be the dead body inside.
Emergency services responded to reports of a body inside the car and officers are now investigating how it came to be there.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said there were few details currently available and that a crime scene had been declared.
Forensics detectives are also on site.
