A woman has been found naked and screaming on a suburban street after allegedly being trapped and raped by a man in a nearby house.

An ACT police patrol spotted the woman on Fairweather Circuit in Lyneham, in Canberra’s inner north, about 7pm on Monday.

Officers immediately took her into their car, where she told officers she had been confined to a nearby home for a number of days.
