The family of a missing Mississippi woman who disappeared last month are desperate for answers.
According to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations, Latasha Coleman, 46, was last seen July 25 at about 7:30 p.m. off Hidden Valley Lane in Jackson. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and black jeans, and could be in a 2002 gray Acura, MDX, bearing the state tag, HPA8639.
“We feel that she is somewhere against her will, she has been abducted, kidnapped and this not just a regular missing person like she’s gone on her own,” Coleman’s brother, Cedric Crump, told ABC 3. “She has left things that a normal person wouldn’t leave.”
“Her son is missing her right now, her siblings are missing her right now, and we have parents that are missing their daughter. We are very sociable. She is always on Facebook, she’s always returning calls even if she doesn’t pick up at the first ring. She has not done any of that [yet].”
Following her disappearance, police issued a Silver Alert for Coleman. According to state laws, the Silver Alert in Mississippi was created to law enforcement “find missing persons 18 years or older with a dementia or other cognitive impairment” more quickly.
Coleman is described as a Black female who stands 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs around 180 pounds. She has black braided hair and brown eyes.
