A Kentucky teacher’s aide was arrested this week and charged with third-degree rape for allegedly having sex with two 16-year-old boys.
A criminal complaint filed in the case says that Ellen Shell, 38, had “sexual intercourse on three occasions” with the two boys between July 6 and August 15, 2022, according to WLEX.
She was arraigned Thursday in Garrard County District Court.
WLEX said that Shell was working for Woodlawn Elementary School in Boyle County at the time of her arrest and had previously worked at Lancaster Elementary School in Garrard County.

Boyle County Schools Superintendent Mike Lafavers sent a letter on Wednesday saying the district had been informed about a matter alleging “unlawful behavior” of a Woodlawn employee. Lafavers did not name the employee, but said they were placed on administrative leave.
