Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley

The full autopsy report has been released for the second of two women brutally killed earlier this year in Oklahoma, their bodies buried in a freezer on a rural property near where they were killed.

Veronica Butler was cut 30 times, with a a third of her injuries coming in form of defensive wounds, the Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said in the report.

Butler also had a blunt force injury to the back of her head and may have had stun gun marks on her back, but the medical examiner said the body was too decomposed for confirmation.

The bodies of Butler, 27, and Jilian Kelley, 39, were found on April 14, two weeks after they disappeared while traveling to pick up Butler’s children from their grandmother’s home in Texas County, as CrimeOnline reported. The grandmother, Tifany Adams, and four other people — her boyfriend, Tad Cullum, married couple Cole and Cora Twombley, and Paul Grice — were later charged with multple counts related to the murders.

Adams allegedly bought burner phones for the planned attack on the women as well as stun guns. One of the stun guns was found buried beneath the freezer along with clothing, a role of tape, and a knife. The freezer was buried 4 1/2 to 8 feet deep with a large concrete slab on top of it.

Cullum reportedly secured permission to dig a hole on the land where the bodies were later found, which did not belong to him, and used a skid steer to prepare the burial site a day before the murders occurred.

The medical examiner said that Butler’s death “was very quick and likely occurred before she was placed inside the freezer and buried.” The autopsy report on Kelley’s death included a similar opinion when it was released two weeks ago.

Both reports described in detail the burial of the chest freezer, 4 1/2 to 8 feet deep with a large concrete slab on top of it.

Court documents released earlier this year say that Cullum killed Kelley and Grice killed Butler, with the Twombleys acting as lookouts after the group ambushed the two women on their way to Adams’ home from Kansas.
