Jenna Coleman was the epitome of sophistication as she made a rare public appearance with boyfriend Jamie Childs the Evening Standard Theatre Awards at London’s Claridge’s Hotel on Sunday.

The former Doctor Who actress, 37, looked ravishing in a cream woven gown which hugged every inch of her gorgeous figure.

The dress boasted a high neck and gold clasps which dazzled under the lights as she made her way along the red carpet and posed for snaps without her other half, with whom she was first linked in December 2021 after meeting on the set of Netflix’s The Sandman.

Jenna forwent jewellery to let the outfit speak for itself opting instead for simple earrings and styling her glossy locks in a 1960s inspired flick.

Meanwhile director Jamie, 35, who met up with his girlfriend inside the swanky venue, was suited and booted in a black tuxedo.

The Evening Standard Theatre Awards were established in 1955, making them the oldest theatrical awards ceremony in the UK.

They event, which is organised by The Evening Standard Newspaper, annually celebrate achievements in London Theatre and this year was  hosted by Sir Ian McKellen.

Jenna is currently filming new BBC detective drama The Jetty which is expected to hit screens next year.

The series synopsis teases: ‘As Ember gets close to the truth, it threatens to destroy her life – forcing her to re-evaluate everything she thought she knew about her past, present and the town she’s always called home’.

In the four-part series, a fire wrecks a holiday home in a Lancashire lake town and Jenna’s character Detective Ember is tasked with seeing how the blaze connects to a podcast journalist, who is investigating a crime.

The journalist is looking into a missing persons cold case and an illicit ‘love’ triangle between a man in his twenties and two underage girls.

While she starts to close in on answers, Ember’s life begins to fall apart, as she is driven to face up to her past, present and the town she’s always called home.

The Jetty is designed to delve into the moral legacy of the Me Too movement and ask questions about sexual morality, identity and memory.

Of the show, Jenna said: ‘I’m delighted to be returning to the BBC to be a part of The Jetty, with Firebird Pictures at the helm, bringing the story of Ember Manning to life…

‘I look forward to exploring Cat Jones’ darkly probing scripts, alongside Marialy Rivas’ eloquent vision.’

Writer and creator Cat Jones, of Harlots, EastEnders, Waterloo Road fame, said of the show: ‘I’m thrilled to be making The Jetty for BBC One…

‘Like millions of people all over the world, I’ve grown up loving and admiring BBC dramas, so getting to create one really is a dream come true…

‘The Jetty is a story I’ve wanted to tell for a long time but it wasn’t until it found its champions at the fantastically writer friendly Firebird, that it really came to life…

‘What feels like a total dream team continues to grow with the addition of Marialy Rivas to direct and the brilliant Jenna Coleman. I’ve no doubt audiences are going to be completely transfixed by her as Ember.’
