Jared Bridegan: Wife of Slain Microsoft Exec Tells Those Involved in Husband’s Death to ‘Enjoy your freedom while you can’

The man accused of gunning down Florida father Jared Bridegan in front of his young daughter allegedly planned the murder for weeks with at least one other person, WOKV reports.

In court records obtained by the news outlet, prosecutors assert that 61-year-old Henry Tenon “on or between January 4, 2022, and February 16, 2022 . . . did agree, conspire, combine or confederate with other human beings to, unlawfully and from a premeditated design, effect the death of Jared Bridegan.”

Police on January 25 arrested Tenon, who is being held on charges of second-degree murder with a weapon, conspiracy to commit murder, accessory after the fact, and child abuse.

Prosecutors say others were involved in the attack, although they have not yet made any other arrests.

“We know that Tenon did not act alone,” Fourth Judicial District State Attorney Melissa Nelson said at a press conference, according to Fox News.

On February 16, 2022, Bridegan was shot to death in Jacksonville Beach. He had just dropped off twin children he shares with his former wife, Shanna Gardner-Fernandez, at her home when he came upon a tire obstructing the road.

The 33-year-old Microsoft software developer got out of his vehicle and was then shot repeatedly. His 2-year-old daughter was in the vehicle’s back seat.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Gardner-Fernandez’s husband, Mario Fernandez, was Tenon’s landlord at one time and also employed him as a handyman.

Bridegan and Gardner-Fernandez reportedly had a bitter divorce and were disputing custody over the twins at the time of the slaying. Prior to the divorce, Gardner-Fernandez allegedly was heard asking in a tattoo parlor if anyone could “shut him up” in reference to Bridegan, according to Fox News.

Gardner-Fernandez recently moved from Florida to West Richland, Washington, a small city along the Columbia River.

Tenon remains in custody without bail and is scheduled for arraignment on February 13.
