The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has identified the remains of a woman found dead on a coastal hunting club last December and arrested her husband for murder.
Mindi Mebane Kassotis, 40, was living in Savannah at the time of her death with her husband, Nicholas James Kassotis, who also went by the name Nicholas Killian James Stark.
Partial remains were found at the Portal Hunting Club in Riceboro on December 2, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The body was dismembered, and additional remains were found within a three mile radius on the grounds of the club, which lie in both Liberty and McIntosh Counties.
The GBI said it believed the remains were put there around November 27.
Earlier in May, investigators identified the remains using genealogy testing and interviews with Mindi Kassotis’s family members.
