Bodycam video out of Tulsa, Oklahoma, shows police arrest a woman for a DUI at a small airport.
“I didn’t do anything,” Bonnie Campbell, 53, said, soft-spoken throughout the video.
But an officer noted that air traffic control told them that she was blocking the runway and driving around the runway.
The footage, which is dated Sept. 29, shows the aftermath of the alleged DUI. In it, Campbell admitted drinking “maybe” three beers before the airport and also drinking while parked.
“No,” she said, when asked if she remembered driving around.
The officer described men at the airport stopping her and getting her keys out of her car.
Throughout the footage, Campbell denied wrongdoing.
“I’m OK,” she said.
“No, I think it’s too late for that,” an officer said.
“Why?” she said.
“Well, after you endangered the pilots by driving around on the runway,” he said.
Another officer put it like this while handcuffing her.
“This is the second day that we’ve been called about you drunk driving yourself around this airport,” an officer said while handcuffing her. “Don’t tell me you haven’t done anything.”
A Tulsa County Jail staffer confirmed to Law&Crime that Campbell was arrested and released from jail that same day. Online records show that Campbell filed on Oct. 23 to stop the state from revoking her driver’s license. A hearing is set for Dec. 4. The Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office did not immediately respond to a Law&Crime request to learn if any charges were formally filed in the arrest.
