‘I’m Not Missing’: ‘Gossip Girl’ Actress Disputes Family’s Claims That She’s Still Missing

“Gossip Girl” actress Chanel Banks spoke with the media to dispel claims by her family that she is missing.

Banks told True Crime News in a FaceTime call that she decided to leave California for Texas after getting baptized. She said that hours before the baptism, she learned her husband and family were planning to have her put in a conservatorship to “silence” her.

Los Angeles County police said Banks was found on Monday in Texas. Banks showed True Crime News her driver’s license to prove it was her — dispelling claims made by her cousin that police spoke with a woman pretending to be her.

The cousin, Danielle-Tori Singh, said the woman seen in bodycam footage is an unknown woman with Banks’ New York ID card that has been expired for 10 years.

Meanwhile, Banks said she has not spoken to her cousin in 15 years. She then alleged her family doctored government documents and lied about her mental health when she tried to leave.

“When I spoke up, they called me mad, mercilessly gang-stalked me, and obliterated any semblance of peace, a career, or connections I ever had. In this digital era, they were able for decades without my knowledge or consent to reach out to my colleagues, friends, and even neighbors to sabotage and effectively destroy not only my life’s work but any semblance of happiness or peace I could hold on to,” she told True Crime News.

Banks’ cousin has not yet responded to Banks’ allegations.

Los Angeles police said they performed four welfare checks and eventually closed the case as they determined no foul play was involved.
