‘I want to know why’: Man who gave 3-year-old fatal overdose of Benadryl was previously convicted of child endangerment, police say

A 35-year-old man in Ohio allegedly gave a fatal overdose of Benadryl to a 3-year-old boy, according to authorities.

Randy Mollett is facing charges of murder, reckless homicide and endangering children, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded around 6:18 p.m. April 13 to a report of an unresponsive child in the 6200 block of London Groveport Road in Darbydale, which is just outside Columbus.
