The wife of a reality television star was arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada, after police said she tried to hire someone to kill her husband.
Victoria Goodwin, 32, was placed under arrest on March 6 after Clark County police confronted her with evidence that she allegedly attempted to have her husband, Aaron Goodwin, 48, killed. Aaron Goodwin is part of the paranormal investigation team on the Discovery+ series “Ghost Adventures.” According to the arrest report obtained by TMZ, Victoria Goodwin allegedly communicated with an inmate in Florida in October 2024, who in turn communicated with someone on the outside who would be able to carry out the alleged plot. At one point, according to the report, Victoria Goodwin allegedly asked in a text message with the inmate, “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”
According to the arrest report, Victoria Goodwin allegedly provided information about where her husband was filming his show in California and when. Police said that Victoria Goodwin had allegedly saved up a total of $11,515 to pay for the murder and exchanged several messages about a $2,500 down payment.
At one point, an alleged text message between the inmate and his man on the outside seemed to indicate that Aaron Goodwin was lucky to be alive. The report stated that the text from the inmate to the would-be hit man read, “He’s asleep right now in the hotel room … I need to know what’s going on. Can I get an update. Was it done?”
The alleged plan was kiboshed when Florida corrections officers confiscated the inmate’s contraband phone.
When Victoria Goodwin was presented with the evidence against her, she denied that she wanted her husband killed and told police that she didn’t remember the messages she sent. She also reportedly claimed that the money she was sending to the inmate was meant to be used to buy cellphones. Victoria Goodwin did reportedly admit to police that she felt she and her husband were having problems in their marriage, and she fantasized about being without him.
TMZ reported that Aaron Goodwin was “blindsided and devastated” by his wife’s alleged plot and believed his marriage was “happy.”
Victoria Goodwin was charged with solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder. She was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on $100,000 bail on March 6 and remains in custody. During an initial court appearance on March 7, she was ordered to have no contact with her husband.
