Esha Persad (Pinellas County Jail).
A Florida woman reportedly got spicy when her husband complained about her choice of McDonald’s and Taco Bell for his birthday meal.
Esha Persad, 34, and her husband of five years, Shiva Persad, were having his birthday dinner when an argument ensued shortly before 12:30 a.m. at their home in St. Petersburg, according to an arrest affidavit reviewed by Law&Crime. Apparently, Taco Bell and McDonald’s were not up to snuff and he let her know about it.
“The defendant and the victim were having an argument about the defendant getting the victim Taco Bell and McDonald’s for his birthday,” the affidavit says. “The defendant then threw a soft shell taco at the victim, which struck the victim on the right side of the face.”
When cops arrived, the evidence was in plain sight.
The affidavit notes that “the burrito was still on the victim’s face.”
Shiva Persad told police he was not injured.
After being read her Miranda rights, Esha Persad allegedly said she threw the burrito at her husband after he threw a bag at her. Shiva Persad denied doing this, the affidavit noted.
Cops arrested Esha Persad on a battery charge and took her to the Pinellas County Jail where she was released on her own recognizance.

Esha Persad is a local dentist who, according to her office website, “underwent dental trauma during her own childhood.”
She and her husband “wholeheartedly embrace the coastal lifestyle” of Florida, the website notes, adding that they “relish in the tranquillity of beach days and delight in activities such as snorkeling and kayaking, all while savoring our community’s different culinary offerings.”
