Florida police said a murdered woman’s body was discovered in a closet at a resort on Monday.
WPLG reported that Nadyne Tillman, 43, met Dylan Lamb, 33, on a prostitution website. Monroe County said they believe Lamb killed Tillman at the Amoray Beach Resort and stashed her body under a water heater in a closet.
Tillman’s body was reportedly in the hotel room for two days before it was found. According to WPLG, Tillman’s friends reported her missing after receiving peculiar messages from her about going on a date with someone she met on a “non-dating website.”
The messages sent on Saturday indicated that Tillman was at the hotel, but the person wasn’t answering the door. According to police, her last message said, “I’m in.”
Deputies went to the resort and spoke to an assistant manager who said they were aware of the missing person report. The assistant manager allegedly also said they wanted to report suspicious behavior from Lamb, a former guest.
During Lamb’s stay, staff reportedly tried to have him change rooms, but he refused. He eventually moved to another room on Sunday.
After Lamb checked out, a housekeeper found three large trash bags in his first hotel room. The bags were filled with soiled towels and bed linens which were possibly covered in blood, feces, and urine, according to WPLG.
Tillman’s partially-clothed body was found in the room on Monday. Police said she had two black eyes, lacerated lips, and other facial trauma consistent with an assault.
“They stayed the night and checked out Monday, none the wiser about the body,” a source told the Miami Herald.
WSVN reported that Lamb was arrested on Tuesday.
