High school basketball player who was benched during game for bad behavior and his brother are arrested for attacking coach: Sheriff

A high school basketball player in Texas who was benched for bad behavior was arrested along with his brother for attacking the coach in the parking lot after the game.

The attack happened on Tuesday at about 9:52 p.m. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Willis High School about an assault that had occurred in the parking lot at the school, authorities said in a news release.

The victim, a coach for Willis I.S.D., suffered injuries to his head, neck, face, and arms. He was assaulted by several individuals, including a student identified as Jevin Allen, 17, who returned to the school with his family after a game between Willis and Conroe, officials said.
