A woman who ran over an SUV owner while stealing the vehicle has turned herself in, according to cops in the Toronto area.

Peel Regional Police released home surveillance footage from the afternoon of Sept. 6. A woman went to the victim’s home and rang the doorbell in the city of Mississauga, which is to the west of Toronto in Canada. This was regarding an Auto Trader advertisement in which the owner was selling a 2022 Porsche Cayenne.

“Hello, I’m here for the Porsche,” said the suspect, identified by officers as 18-year-old Sarah Badshaw, in video.

The owner offered her a test drive. She answered that she was waiting for her father, but she asked if she could “take a look” at the vehicle.

Footage cut to a vantage point on the SUV. The victim, whose face is blurred, walked around the vehicle. The SUV briefly jostled a bit. The victim appeared to check the driver-side doors before crossing the rear when suddenly, the engine roared and the SUV’s driver ran him over by going in reverse. The man managed to stand up, however.

Police said the woman fled.
