‘He died in his brother’s arms’: Teen stabbed to death at track meet during fight over bleacher seating, police say

A Texas teenager was allegedly stabbed for sitting in the wrong seat

A Texas teen who allegedly stabbed another teenage boy at a track meet over an argument about where he was sitting has been charged with murder.

Karmelo Anthony, 17, is being held without bond at Frisco City Jail after being charged with the murder of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf. According to the Frisco Police Department, officers responded to “an incident at a track meet” at Frisco Independent School District’s Kuykendall Stadium at about 10 a.m. on April 2. An altercation between Anthony and Metcalf, both high school students at competing schools, resulted in Metcalf being stabbed. Despite lifesaving measures by first responders, Metcalf died. Anthony was subsequently taken into custody.
