Accused Delphi Child Killer’s Defense Plans to Persuade Judge Odinist Cult Committed Murders, Trial Looms

An Indiana jury on Monday found Richard Allen guilty of murdering two teen girls in 2017.

As CrineOnline previously reported, the bodies of  teen girls Abby Williams and Libby German were found near the Monon High Bridge in February 2017, in Delphi.

Five years later, police arrested Allen, a Delphi resident who worked at a local pharmacy.

After 17 days of testimony, the prosecution and defense began their closing arguments last week.

Prosecutors presented multiple pieces of evidence linking Allen to the crime scene, including an unspent bullet found at the location that matched a firearm discovered in Allen’s home in 2022. They also highlighted the numerous confessions he made while in jail.

In his opening statements, Carroll County Prosecutor Nick McLeland said searchers located the two girls dead in a wooded area near the Monon High Bridge, with Libby found unclothed and bloodied. Both girls had their throats slit.

Allen’s defense team centered mostly on expert evaluations indicating his declining mental health after his arrest.

Richard Allen showed no emotion or reaction as the verdict was read.

After the hearing, Allen was cuffed and taken from the courtroom.

Abby and Libby’s family members embraced the prosecution at the end of the hearing.

Allen’s wife, Kathy Allen, said “this isn’t over at all”  to 13 News as she left the courtroom.

Sentencing will be at 9am ET on December 20.
