A Georgia woman on trial for killing her 1-year-old daughter was found guilty Wednesday by a Cherokee County jury.

Chloe Driver, 24, displayed no emotion as the jury announced its verdict in court, declaring her “guilty beyond a reasonable doubt but mentally ill” on all counts, KFOX

Driver, who entered a not guilty plea based on insanity, faced charges including malice murder, felony murder, first-degree cruelty to children, and aggravated assault.

Last week, Chief Assistant District Attorney Katie Gropper described Driver as a member of a “polygamist group.”

Gropper noted that Driver was married to Benyamin Ben Michael, also known as Brian Joyce or “Z.”

Michael had at least two other wives and he and Driver were parents to  Hannah.

She also accused Driver of murdering their daughter because she wanted  Michael exclusively for herself.

While describing the murder, the prosecution said Driver grabbed a kitchen knife from the kitchen, then walked up to the bedroom, where she locked the door before stabbing the baby and then stabbing her own self in the neck.

Police found Hannah stabbed four times in the neck and once in the back, Driver then turned the knife on herself.

While at a hospital recovering, Driver scribbled a note to a detective who arrived at the hospital to question her. Driver’s note admitted guilt in her daughter’s murder.

She also made incriminating search queries prior to the murder.
