Graphic Video Shows Child’s Mummified Body in Closet: Reports

On Sunday, a child’s body was reportedly discovered in the closet of a Georgia residence.

Residents at the DeKalb County apartment complex told WSB-TV that the mummified body was that of a child, but police have not yet confirmed this. However, the news outlet reported that it reviewed graphic video footage which showed the body in the closet with a purse on top of it and surrounded by debris.

WAGA reported that the decedent was a girl between the ages of 2 and 4. An officer wrote that the body had a full head of hair, though her arm and leg were decaying.

Residents reportedly told WSB-TV that the unit had been unoccupied for some time, but others claimed homeless people would squat there.

The case remains under investigation as the medical examiner works to identify the body found on Sunday.
