GRAPHIC: Teen Girl Seriously Burned After ‘Childhood Friends’ Hurl Acid in Her Face

Two Kansas women were arrested on Wednesday for last month’s acid attack that left a woman with severe burns to her face.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Passion Turner, 17, was hospitalized for second-degree burns following the May 28 attack that unfolded in front of a friend’s home in Wichita. Ye’Kira Hollins and Tayronnia West, both 18, were criminally charged, and police are still searching for a 16-year-old girl.

“When she first saw herself, a lot of tears. It’s, um, it’s bad. She doesn’t look like herself,” Turner’s sister told KWCH.

The victim’s sister described the suspects as “childhood friends” who staged the attack following an ongoing dispute with Turner.

“It was targeted. Her right side of her face and her neck. There’s kind of some droplets that got on her chest,” she also told KWCH.

Hollins and West are charged with aggravated battery. Records indicated that West remains jailed on $150,000 bond while it is unclear whether Hollins remains in custody.

Meanwhile, Turner’s sister said on Thursday that her sister underwent surgery.

“My baby has smiled through this whole ordeal,” she wrote.
