A German man has been arrested in Majorca on suspicion of sexual assault after a man he met on gay dating app Grindr ended up in hospital with an apple stuck up his backside.
The patient was able to expel one of the pieces of fruit by himself but had to seek medical help to free the other after suffering ‘serious injuries’.
Detectives began investigating the alleged assault after he left hospital and went to police to say the apples had been introduced inside him without his consent after he was drugged during an ‘out-of-control’ sex game in the island capital Palma.

Local reports said he had agreed to some ‘unorthodox’ sexual practices which involved the introduction of small objects as part of a pre-sex pact but not the one that left him needing hospital treatment.
Police confirmed the arrest Wednesday, saying an investigation into the man’s claims were ongoing. His nationality has not been made public.
The German detainee lives in Majorca and the alleged sex crime is said to have occurred at his home in Palma. The arrest happened Tuesday.

A National Police source said: ‘We are still investigating despite the arrest.’
It was not immediately clear this afternoon if the unnamed German has already appeared before a judge in a closed court hearing.
He is likely to be bailed following a court appearance pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.
