A Florida woman has been charged with using her own toddler son to create child pornography for a stranger who sought it over the internat.
Jenna Ann Hoffman, 21, has been charged with cruelty toward a child by directing or promoting sexual performance, lewd and lascivious molestion of a child under 12, possession of a child sexual performance with intent to promote, and use of a two-way communication device to facility a felony and larceny, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office said.
Hernando County investigators say she admitted producing the videos with her own child but never received the payment she was promised.
Deputies said they got a tip about child pornography from “a popular social media platform” on September 23. The tip included photos and videos of child sexual abuse, specifically a woman performing sex acts with a toddler. Deputies identified Hoffman as the woman in the material and went to speak with her.
Deputies first spoke with a family member and showed them a still image from one of the child sex abuse videos. The family member immediately identified the child as Hoffman’s 23-month-old son.
The family member brought Hoffman out to speak with deputies, and she confirmed that she had created the videos for a stranger she met only who said they would pay for the content. She said she made the videos and sent them but never received payment.
Investigators obtained a search warrant and executed it at the home, where they found further evidence of the crime.
Hoffman is being held at the Hernando County Detention Center without bond.
If she is eventually granted bond, Law&Crime reported, Hoffman will have to wear a GPS monitor. She is due in court again on October 22.
