Florida Mom Films Herself Smearing Feces All Over Child for Soiling Himself

A Florida woman was arrested on Tuesday for abusing her son and smearing feces all over him.

On May 11, a Department of Children and Family investigator responded to a West Park location regarding a report about Tania Contreras, 39, smearing feces on a child. A search of Contreras’ phone uncovered a video of her son, standing in a shower naked, with feces on his chest, face, and arms, according to WTVJ.

Contreras allegedly told authorities that she was angry at her son for defecating on himself and not telling her. She filmed herself smearing feces on himself as punishment and sent the video to her mother in Venezuela, WTVJ reported.

According to the news outlet, the child underwent a medical evaluation — where it was revealed he had various scratches, bruises, and scars on his arms and legs. Contreras allegedly admitted to beating him with a belt for running in front of her at a grocery store, in addition to hitting him in the head with her cell phone for cracking the screen.

“The offender advised physical punishment is normal in her home country of Venezuela,” the report stated.

Contreras is charged with aggravated child abuse. She remains jailed on an immigration hold.
