Florida Man Chases Pranking Children in His Car

A Florida man was arrested after witnesses said he chased a group of kids playing pranks in his neighborhood, driving his car at thm at a high rate of speed and swerving at them.

John Albanos, 51, was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, WINK reported.

According to the Naples Police Department, the three children were “ding-dong-ditching” in the neighborhood when Albanos came out of his home, got in his car, and started chasing them as they rode away on their scooters.

The children said they had to move out of the way because they feared he was going to hit them.

An adult witness said he heard Albanos chasing the kids and yelling at them. He told police he ran into his yard and tried to distract Albanos, who yelled at him and turned his car in his direction before leaving the scene.

The witness identified Albanos as the man driving the car at the children. Albanos was arrested on Saturday, Law&Crime reported. One of the children was 11, another was 12, and the age of the third was not known.

Albanos told police he wasn’t going to hit them but “wanted to put the fear of god into the victims,” an affidavit said.

Albanos was released on a $5,000 bond and is due back in court on August 4.
