A Florida man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly attacked is father with a hatchet.
William Carpenter, 23, has been charged with attempted homicide and criminal mischief, WEAR reported.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office said that Carpenter and his father got into an argument that escalated, and he attacked the older man with the hatchet.
The father was taken to a hospital with lacerations on his arm; his condition was no known.

Carpenter is being held without bond.
