Authorities in Colorado are lauding the courage of a former elite swimmer who came forward 20 years after her coach sexually abused her when she was a teenager.

A judge sentenced 54-year-old Jon Beber to 42 years to life in prison after a jury convicted him of sexually abusing three teenagers on his swim team, according to Boulder District Attorney Michael Dougherty. The jury in April found him guilty of three counts of sexual assault on a child.
