‘Drunk again’: Chief accused of showing up drunk and interfering with DWI crash investigation gets slammed onto hood of car by his sergeant, is put on leave

A police chief in New Jersey was slammed onto the hood of a car by one of his sergeants after the sergeant accused the chief of showing up “drunk again” and interfering with a DWI crash investigation to ask him about his jacket with lettering “not fit to be worn.”

Bradley Beach Police Chief Leonard Guida appeared at a crash scene on Main Street on the night of Nov. 9. Police body camera video shows 7 minutes of the confrontation that evening between him and Sgt. William Major.
