Accused Delphi Child Killer’s Defense Plans to Persuade Judge Odinist Cult Committed Murders, Trial Looms

Accused Delphi killer Richard Allen’s defense team is seeking to block testimony about a video from one of the victim’s phones that captured a suspect known as “Bridge Guy,” according to court documents.

In a motion filed Sunday, the defense asked the court to exclude any testimony regarding “the words and sounds allegedly recorded in the video,” Indy Star reports,

The video was retrieved from Libby German’s phone following the discovery of her and Abby Williams’ bodies.

As CrineOnlibe previously reported, Allen, from Delphi, faces murder charges in connection with the girls’ murders: They vanished  on February 13, 2017, and their bodies were found the next day near the Monon High Bridge in Carroll County.

“Interpreting the words and sounds on the enhanced video requires a completely subjective analysis,” the motion reads, referring to the video footage and audio as “poor quality.”

The video showed a man wearing a blue jacket and jeans walking across the Monon High Bridge, on the same day the girls vanished. The recording also had audio of a voice saying “down the hill,” a detail that sparked public interest and speculation about the killer.

The document also asserted that allowing a witness to conjecture about the words and sounds in the recordings could create confusion and mislead the jury.

The trial continues. Check back for updates.
