Delphi Murders: Sweet Girls Abby & Libby Wear SCARVES to Cover Neck Wounds at Funerals

The tenth day of testimony resumes Tuesday in the case surrounding the 2017 murders of two Delphi girls and their accused killer, Richard Allen.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Libby German, 14, and Abby Williams, 13, were walking on the Monon High Bridge in Carroll Coubty when they were murdered and left in the woods on February 13, 2017.

Allen, arrested five years later in 2022, has pleaded not guilty to the murder charges.

Today, jurors watched a video of Indiana State Police Lt. Jerry Holeman’s heated interrogation of Allen on October 26, 2022.

Holeman confronted Allen with forensic evidence that linked an unspent round from the crime scene to his handgun.

The discussion began with friendly talk about firearms but quickly escalated as Allen denied killing Abby and Libby, prompting Holeman to curse at him several times during the exchange.

Allen: “I can’t tell you what happened that day.”

Holeman: “You can tell us.”

Allen: “How?”

Allen: “Anybody who knows me knows I couldn’t do something like that. I did not murder two little girls.”

Holeman: “Science doesn’t lie.”

For two hours, Holeman pressed Allen with forensic evidence, but Allen stood firm in his denials. He also claimed not to know Ron Logan, who owned a property close to where the girls’ bodies were found.

“I don’t give a f—. Kill me. It will make my wife rich … I never had contact with Abby or Libby,” he told Holeman, according to the Indy Star.  “I never even met them.”

Later, Holeman tried to reassure Allen, saying he didn’t view him as a bad person.

Midway through the interrogation, Holeman brought in Allen’s wife, Kathy. They embraced and sat side by side, with Allen trying to reassure her of his innocence.

I’m not going to say something that isn’t true,” he told his wife. “I didn’t murder anyone.”

After Kathy Allen left, Holeman again brought up the evidence, growing angry as he shouted and cursed at Allen.

“Do the right thing,” he urged, insisting that Allen shouldn’t put his family through this ordeal.

At this point, Allen also appeared to lose his composure.

Allen: “You want to f— with me, f— with me, but leave my wife out of this. F—. Leave me out of this.”

Holeman: “No. You’re involved in this. Your f—— round is there, Rick.”

Allen: “No. It’s not…I’m done. Arrest me.”

Holeman: “I’d be happy to. F****** happy to.”

Police arrested Allen later that day.

The trial continues. Check back for updates.
