Accused Delphi Child Killer’s Defense Plans to Persuade Judge Odinist Cult Committed Murders, Trial Looms

The defense has rested in the murder trial of accused Delphi child killer Richard Allen.

Allen’s defense team spent several days challenging the state’s arguments against him.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Allen faces four counts of murder related to the February 2017 deaths of Abby Williams and Libby German. The girls vanished near the Monon High Bridge. Indiana State Police arrested him in October 2022.

Defense witnesses included experts who claimed that Allen’s time in solitary confinement might have affected his mental state, causing him to make false confessions.

The  defense also presented several videos showing Allen during his time in custody. He was seen acting erratically and smearing his own feces on himself.

Allen’s attorneys raised doubts about the validity of his confessions and the circumstances surrounding them.

Meanwhile, the state intends to call rebuttal witnesses this morning prior to finalizing the jury instructions.

Special Judge Francis Gull stated that each side will have between two and two and a half hours to deliver their closing arguments.

Check back for updates.
