According to an arrest citation obtained by local NBC affiliate WAVE, Fleming was arrested on Oct. 25, 2024, five days after Jackson’s body was located. The investigation into Jackson’s homicide reportedly revealed that his body had been bundled up with sheets and garbage bags and secured with zip ties and duct tape. Police said that the body had allegedly been tied to the bumper of an SUV and dragged through the street by Fleming.

At some point, police said the body became detached from the SUV and Fleming unsuccessfully tried to load it into the back of the vehicle. The arrest citation said that video surveillance cameras captured the moment that Fleming allegedly dumped Jackson’s body at the intersection.
