'Dancing With The Stars' Pro Arrested On Suspicion Of Domestic Violence

Professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev, known for his work on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” was arrested on Thursday in Napa County, California, on suspicion of domestic violence.

Chigvintsev, 42, was booked on one count of felony domestic violence Thursday morning and posted $25,000 bail, according to jail records reviewed by HuffPost.

The Napa County Sheriff’s Department didn’t immediately respond to questions from HuffPost.

Chigvintsev is married to former WWE wrestler Stephanie Nicole Chigvintsev, 40, who goes by Nikki Garcia professionally. As a wrestler, she was known as Nikki Bella and worked with her sister as the Bella Twins.

Authorities have not said if Garcia was involved in Thursday’s arrest. An Instagram Story she posted on Wednesday indicated that she was in Napa.

Garcia and Chigvintsev met when they partnered for Season 25 of “Dancing With the Stars” in 2017. Garcia was engaged to John Cena at the time, but the couple called off their engagement in 2018.

Chigvintsev and Garcia made their romantic relationship official in 2019 and got married three years later.

Garcia and Chigvintsev both posted on Instagram Monday that they were celebrating their wedding anniversary. The two share a son.

A spokesperson for ABC told HuffPost that there are no plans for Chigvintsev to appear in the upcoming 33rd season of the show. The pro and celebrity members of the cast have not yet been announced.

Representatives for Garcia and Chigvintsev did not immediately respond to HuffPost’s request for comment.
