The Daily Mail has surpassed 10million followers on TikTok – reinforcing its position as the largest news publisher on the platform worldwide.
The diverse range of content across the Mail’s accounts has captivated the attention of a new generation of followers, with over five billion views in the last 12 months.
With one in 10 using TikTok as a source of news in the UK, the video-sharing platform is increasingly being used by 18 to 24-year-olds to keep up to date with current affairs.
In October, the Daily Mail became the biggest news publisher account on TikTok with 6.5million followers. It now has 7.8million followers with 10million in total across all accounts.
This achievement encompasses the various specialised accounts under the Daily Mail umbrella, including the global news account, UK news, crime, sport, royals, showbiz, US and Australia.
