The father of a 17-year-old Georgia girl who allegedly killed her mother and stepfather in February reportedly visited her in jail on Sunday.
The Daily Mail reported that Sean Patrick, 43, was seen outside of Carroll County detention facility, where his daughter, Sarah Patrick, is being held. Sarah Patrick has been housed there since July 8 for allegedly shooting Kristen and James Brock, 41 and 45, at their Carrollton home on February 20.
According to the Daily Mail, Monday’s jail visit lasted about an hour.
“Sarah Grace [Patrick] maintains her innocence, we believe her,” Sean Patrick’s girlfriend told the Daily Mail. “For now, we are going to sit back for a second, just to make sure everything is in her benefit and not in her hindrance.”
On February 20, the Brocks’ 5-year-old daughter found them shot in their bedroom. Police said there was no evidence of a burglary, but noted a door had been left open.
“I think he [Sean Patrick] said Kristin was shot behind the ear, the temple, the torso. And that James was shot like in the temple, head, nose, or something, and in the chest or the torso. That’s all he said,” Sean Patrick’s mother revealed to the Daily Mail.
Sarah Patrick called 911 to report the incident. She also gave her mother’s and stepfather’s eulogies before her arrest.
Sarah Patrick is charged as an adult with murder and aggravated assault. Her lawyer has requested a bond hearing as she remains jailed without bond. However, a court date has not been set.
Carroll County police have not disclosed a motive, but they said a “mountain of evidence” led to the teen’s arrest.
