A 36-year-old Arkansas husband and father was booked on suspicion of first-degree murder for shooting and killing a man accused of stalking and raping his 14-year-old daughter, an arrest his wife is slamming as “outrageous.”

The Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office said the shooting unfolded Tuesday, Oct. 8, as deputies were initially responding to a home on Highway 236 East following a report of a missing child that afternoon. A short time later, investigators learned that Aaron Spencer shot and killed 67-year-old Michael Fosler during a “confrontation” after Spencer found his daughter “in a vehicle” with Fosler.
