The highly acclaimed Hamptons Whodunit Festival returns to East Hampton Village in New York for its sophomore year, starting April 11, and two of CrimeOnline’s renowned podcast hosts will be there to help share their knowledge on cold cases and death investigations.

The four-day festival will have numerous events and activities dedicated to real-life cases and mystery fiction, along with experts in forensics, detective work, law, and local history.

On Saturday, starting at 3 p.m., “Body Bags” host Joseph Scott Morgan will present “The Piketon County Murders” at the East Hampton Library at 159 Main Street.

Along with his popular podcast, Morgan, M.F.S., F-ABMDI, is a medicolegal death investigator, a professor at Alabama’s Jacksonville State University, and a regular expert guest on Nancy Grace’s “Crime Stories.”

While serving as the Senior Investigator at the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office in Atlanta, Georgia, Morgan played a pivotal role in establishing the national training standards for Medicolegal Death Investigators.

“Zone 7” host, Sheryl McCollum, will present her distinguished “Wine and Crime” session on Saturday evening at the Hedges Inn, starting at 6 p.m. Special true crime guests will join McCollum for a two-hour special.

McCollum is an Emmy Award-winning CSI, a writer for CrimeOnline, a forensic and crime scene expert for “Crime Stories,” and the co-author of the textbook, “Cold Case: Pathways to Justice.”

McCollum is also the founder and director of the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute, a collaboration between universities and colleges that brings researchers, practitioners, students, and the criminal justice community
