Authorities have arrested a 51-year-old woman accused in the hit-and-run death of her granddaughter last month in an Indiana motel parking lot.
Detectives found Lisa Tesch in that city on Friday and arrested her on outstanding warrants from Kentucky as well as Indiana charges connected with the death of 18-month-old Eleanor Campbell, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, surveillance video captured Tesch in a Motel 6 parking lot in Jeffersonville, Indiana, as she ran over the toddler and sped away. The girl’s mother, Cheyenne Allen, said her boyfriend opened the door to their room, and the little girl ran out into the path of Tesch’s Chevy Trailblazer before they could stop her.
The girl was taken to Norton Children’s Hospital, where she died from her injuries.

Police said Jeffersonville and Louisville detectives had been working the case “tirelessly” and that their dual investigations led them to Tesch in Louisville’s Shawnee neighborhood. She was arrested along with a family member, 34-year-old Joshua David, who was wanted on outstanding warrants of his own.
