New York Man Charged With Concealing a Corpse After Woman Found in Sleeping Bag in Trash

A New York man was charged Thursday with killing a woman who was found dead in a sleeping bag on the sidewalk on Friday.

WABC reported that prosecutors presented a video from June 26, which showed suspect Chad Irish, 55, threatening to shoot Yazmeen Williams, 31. Williams, who was shot in the head, was found wrapped in a sleeping bag in a trash bag in Manhattan on July 4.

Bullets were not only discovered in the sleeping bag containing Williams’ body, but three were allegedly also found in Irish’s apartment.

According to reports, Irish was deemed a person of interest after he was filmed, in a motorized scooter, dragging Williams’ apparent body down the sidewalk, as CrimeOnline reported.

WABC  reported that Irish has 21 prior arrests and a criminal history going back to 1990.

Irish was initially charged with concealing a human corpse. He has since been charged with second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon and loaded firearm in the second degree.

Authorities are still investigating Irish’s connection to Williams.
