Brothers, Abducted by Father in North Carolina, FOUND SAFE in Missouri: Cops

Two young boys who disappeared from the yard where they were playing have been found safe and their father arrested.

Concord, North Carolina, police said the boys were found at a motel in Missouri Monday morning and would be reunited with their grandmother, where they lived.

The boys’ father, Aaron Eugene Toliver, will be charged with misdemeanor domestic violence protective order and felony abduction by a parent, WSOC reported.

“I’m just so grateful,” said Roseann Toliver, the grandmother. “I really am. I’m so grateful to God, to the community, to my good neighbor, to my godson, and all of you that have you know, wished us well and been concerned for the safety of little Aaron and — we call him Joe-Joe — Josiah.”

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Aaron Toliver, 11, and Josiah Brooks, 8, were taken on Sunday while they were playing in a neighbor’s yard.

The boys’ friend, 11-year-old Xayne Cagle, told WSOC that he saw their father take them away.

“I saw that,” Xayne said. “When they started driving away, I was like — I was getting confused because he was driving too fast.”

Xayne ran to tell his own grandmother, who called police. Loita Cagle told the station the boys were in “good health, good stable condition.”

“I’m happy [Xayne] was able to give the color of the car, the type of car it was, I’m glad he was attentive,” she said.
