Developing: Police Utilize Cadaver Dogs in Search of Missing 8-Month-Old Kentucky Baby

Kentucky State Police detectives announced they discovered a body matching the description of missing 8-month-old infant Miya Rudd on Friday afternoon.

According to troopers, the infant’s decomposed body was discovered concealed inside a residence where her parents lived in Ohio County. Following the scene’s processing, the Ohio County Coroner’s Office is expected to take the remains to the Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville for further examination.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Miya (also referred to as Miya Tucker) has not been seen “since the end of April,” according to an arrest citation. Police, however, began looking for her on June 6, following a welfare check request and search warrant.

Miya’s parent, 29-year-old Tesla Tucker, and 30-year-old Cage Rudd, were subsequently arrested on drug charges and abandonment of a minor after police conducted a welfare check at the home on June 6.

Police subsequently arrested six additional people in connection with the case.
