Actress Gwyneth Paltrow took the stand on Friday in an ongoing civil trial stemming from an alleged ski collision at a Utah ski resort which left a man seriously injured.
Plaintiff Terry Sanderson, 76, has sued Paltrow, 50, for $300,000, claiming he suffered broken ribs and a traumatic brain injury after the actress crashed into him at the Deer Valley Resort in 2016. Paltrow filed a countersuit in this case, alleging that Sanderson actually collided into her, according to CNN.
“I was not engaging in any risky behavior,” Paltrow said. “I wouldn’t with my children there or without my children there.”
While on the stand, Paltrow also stated that she was skiing downhill when Sanderson hit her in the back.
Paltrow also stated, “Two skis came between my skis and there was a body pressing against me… there was a strange grunting noise…My brain was trying to make sense of what was happening, is it a practical joke, is someone doing something perverted?”
The BBC reported that Sanderson is present in court amid Paltrow’s ongoing testimony.
The trial continues. A feed is available for viewing below:
