A man has been arrested and charged with kidnapping and first-degree murder after a woman allegedly leapt from his moving vehicle during a police chase in Arizona on Saturday and died.

William Nathaniel Holloway, 36, was arrested by deputies with the Pima County Sheriff’s on July 20 in the early evening. The woman who was riding as a passenger in Holloway’s vehicle called police to report a domestic violence incident near Catalina Highway and Melpomene Way and according to local CBS affiliate KOLD, the woman said Holloway — her boyfriend —  had consumed an illegal drug before driving them to Mt. Lemmon. Holloway allegedly would not let her out of the car.
