BOLO: Police Seek Tips on Missing California Woman

Search efforts are underway to locate a missing woman believed to be on a mountain trip.

Jayna Lang, 46, was last seen on Sunday in Littleton, Colorado, according to 9 News. Her brother, Eric Hovat, stated that the family has not heard from her since she mentioned heading to Summit County on November 24.

“She was leaving on Sunday to go to Silverthorne to the factory outlet shops,” he said. “The next day, her work called and said she didn’t show up.”

Horvat described his sister as someone who would never miss work, emphasizing that she is an all-American girl. “Very outgoing, very compassionate, very caring. She’s super athletic; she participates in triathlons and marathons. She loves the outdoors and adores dogs,” he said.

The Park County Sheriff’s Office has shared information from Lang’s brother regarding her vehicle, a 2016 white Toyota 4Runner SUV with the license plate “JAYNA.”

There have been a few possible leads, according to News 9. Someone contacted the family, identifying Lang’s vehicle as one they believe they saw driving from Breckenridge to Keystone on Highway 6 on Wednesday night. The Park County Sheriff’s Office mentioned that Lang enjoys visiting the Indian Mountain Subdivision in Park County.

Lang’s brother is pleading for her safe return: “Come home, Jayna, we miss you,” he said. “It would be great to have you home for the holidays.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Park County Sheriff’s Office at (719) 836-4122 and select option 5 to reach Park County Sheriff’s Deputies.
