Farmington police in New York are searching for a 12-year-old boy who vanished early Monday morning, Patch reports.
According to Suffolk police, Mertcan Cakmak left his home on Waverly Avenue in Farmington on his bicycle, at some point overnight. A family member contacted police and reported him missing at around 5:45 a.m.
Police said Mertcan could be trying to find a way to get to the Bronx. He was last seen wearing a dark hoodie and ripped jeans.

Mertcan is described as a white male who stands 5-feet-5-inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes, and a scar above his right eye.
