This is the bizarre moment a pensioner rams a shopping trolley into a suspected shoplifter attempted to flee an Asda superstore in west London.
Two members of staff, including a security guard wrestled with the man on the floor of the store in Hayes, west London on Monday, August 14.
According to the footage which has been uploaded onto social media, one person in the background can be heard shouting: ‘Keep him on the floor, keep him on the floor.’
Amid the tussle, the pensioner rams his trolley into the man to prevent him from getting up and escaping the store.
